So you’re really going to do it this time? You’re making the investment in that home gym you’ve been waiting for to finally get into shape. Now what?  What do you need to start a home gym? How much should you spend? How much space do you have? These are all very important questions you need to ask yourself when you are in the planning phase, but the most important part of your home gym can’t be purchased at any store. Check out the video below as I explain more.

I hope this video helped clear a few things up about what you need to get your home gym started right. The #1 has to be you and your willingness to acknowledge your goals and go after them, not by waiting for a piece of equipment to do it for you. Here are a few things you can try without having to break the bank.

Body Weight Exercises

  1. Burpees
  2. Squats
  3. Lunges
  4. Push-ups
  5. Sit ups
  6. Supermans
  7. Running
  8. Hiking
  9. Biking
  10. Skiing

Keep Adding Variety

I hope you get the point that these aren’t any crazy workout trends you haven’t heard of before. The whole idea is for you to commit to at least 30 days of some exercise routine so you can start to feel the benefits of working out on a consistent basis. Now, I don’t recommend doing just one thing, but I do recommend keeping it fresh, fun, and to keep adding variety. Try getting a workout partner or crank some music if it helps. If you can make it through those first 30 days slowly start adding some equipment to your home gym that will what will help you achieve your goals and keep you from getting bored.
