About Me
I am a 43-year-old husband, father of three, an ICU RN, and a recently converted health/fitness nut. I have always been athletic and active growing up playing hockey, baseball, soccer, and golf. During and after college I became fairly inactive, gained weight and became very out of shape. I needed a change as I found myself falling into my dreaded family history of cardiovascular disease and cancer.
So I made some lifestyle changes and began running and training for half marathons. I still enjoy running, but I was looking for more and that was when I saw an Insanity infomercial about 6 years ago while working a night shift in the ICU. Since then I have added multiple other home workouts, cleaned up my nutrition and added multiple other activities that keep me and my family active. Staying active and healthy is a very important part of my life and something I want my children to see and do as I do.
